Bangladesh: Training on water rights management

The Association for Land Reform and Development (ALRD) in cooperation of Water Rights Forum organized a training course on water rights and management Sylhet on 13-16 September 2015. Twenty Three participants (female 8 and male 15) from 17 partner organizations in Sylhet and nearest districts participated in the training.

The training was to improve NGOs’ capacity on water policy, management and water rights issues; and on existing laws on water, environment, and climate change.

Topics emphasized the socio-economic and environmental effects of climate change on rivers and trans-boundary rivers particularly in the Tipaimukh dam.
